The hydro-pneumatic capillary system at the core of these humidifiers is completely different from ultrasonic, evaporative, impeller and warm mist humidifiers. It consists of a water tank at the top from which water flows down a specially designed composite panel where it evaporates to increase the humidity level. A reservoir at the bottom of the panel catches any remaining water when the room humidity reaches a comfortable level. This reservior controls a valve that stops the flow of water from the top. As the water continues to evaporate on the panel, this valve eventually will re-open to continue to feed water into the air.

 

Shown below are infrared views of the humidification process dispensing cool, moist water vapor into a room. König Swiss humidifiers dispense moisture down the composite panel at a speed between 12 to 16 cm/sec as noted by infrared testing from the University of Ingolstadt in Germany. The dispensing speed of of the water into the air is accelerated by the distance the water travels down the special formulated composite panel, enabling the efficient distribution of moisture into the air without forming water drops that can cause bacteria to form.

The humidity vapor first descends towards your floor and then moves back towards the ceiling, humidifying the air along the way. The moist air stays in the your room for a much longer period. Distributing the moist air more evenly into your room than an electric humidifier, and doing it more efficiently and safely than other humidifier technologies. The hydro-pneumatic valve system regulates and monitors the complete humidification process automatically.
